Today,
more than ever, the health sector represents a major market
niche for LSR Health, due to the public’s pressing needs
in terms of access to health care and the impending explosion
of the age 55-plus population. |

In fact, the first baby boomers will start to turn 60 in 2006,
and will attain retirement age five years later. Given this
context, LSR Health has adjusted its strategy by putting forward
a development plan defined on the basis of the following two
trends:
• The population’s growing needs in respect to
the availability of health care, as well as the demand for
quality services, encourage the creation of clinics made up
of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary medical teams.
• The increasing demand for residential and long-term
care centres (CHSLDs) and senior citizens’ homes—linked
to the aging of the population—constitutes an additional
development opportunity for the company. |
